Richard Pigossi

American. Founder and principal of Pegasus Capital, a Singapore-based financial advisory firm focused on Southeast Asia and India, Richard is a corporate finance specialist with four and a half decades of professional experience in Asia, Latin America, Africa and the Middle East. Now based in the US, he lived and worked in Southeast Asia from 1973 to 2007 with the World Bank, Private Development Finance Company of Indonesia, Private Investment Company for Asia, Elders Finance Group and Asian Oceanic Group before launching Pegasus Capital in 1991. A pioneer in Asian private equity, he co-founded Elders PICA Asian Ventures, one of the region's earliest funds, and later established AOG Mitra Capital Finance, the first in Indonesia. He has served on the boards of more than 30 manufacturing, food, banking, securities and energy services companies in seven Asian countries and has been an adviser to Salomon Brothers, Deloitte Corporate Finance, EMP Global, Darby Asia and Acadian Asset Management. He serves on the Advisory Committee for Biotechnology in Western North Carolina and is a member of the regional Inception Micro Angel Fund. Richard lived in East Africa and worked as a development economist in Vietnam, Thailand, Colombia and Iran before joining the World Bank in 1970. An electrical engineering graduate of Penn State, he has a master's degree from the Sloan School at MIT, where he also studied nuclear engineering under an Atomic Energy Commission Fellowship.

Steve Kupetz, PhD

American. Serial entrepreneur, professor, and philanthropist. Steve has taken a step away from his businesses to pursue a life long passion of philanthropy through social entrepreneurship. Today, Steve dedicates his time to working with small NGO's and his own charity trust. He is also an advisor to Ashoka, the second largest association of social entrepreneurs which enables individuals to spot challenges, address them, and improve the lives of others using the same entrepreneurial principles and competitive skills that have driven private sector businesses ahead over the last three centuries. In addition, he is also an advisor to the Earth Net and Green Net Foundation with an emphasis on the education and promotion of branding and marketing for organic products. Previously, Steve owned businesses in the retail, commodity and real estate sectors. He was also a professor at the University of Illinois and has served with the Peace Corps. Steve studied at the University of Chicago and received his PhD from the University of Minnesota.

Management / Execution

Marvin Yeo, CFA, Founder & Managing Partner

  • Founder and Managing Partner of FIDP since 2008.
  • Senior Financing Specialist at ADB from 2004-2008 responsible for syndications and structuring of private sector corporate / infrastructure transactions. Also advised ADB’s sovereign and corporate clients on financing options and credit guarantees.
  • Prior to joining the ADB, Marvin spent 7 years in investment banking, working with Barclays Capital, Nomura International and Deutsche Bank in London, Hong Kong and Singapore, with a focus on Debt / Equity linked Origination, Syndications and Derivatives Structuring.
  • Other significant experience included working as an  Engineer in Australia, lecturing at the University of the Philippines in Finance & Investment Management as well as starting and managing a restaurant-bar in Singapore.
  • Marvin holds an MBA from INSEAD, a B.Eng (Hons) from Monash University and the CFA designation. He is also fluent in Mandarin, Teochew, Hokkien & Cantonese.

Thura Soe-Paing, Chief Representative (Myanmar)

  • Joined in 2012 as Chief Representative (Myanmar) and Managing Director of All Myanmar Investment & Development Partners.
  • Prior to joining, he was a member of the team at Strategy613, a strategic advisory firm focusing on international corporates doing business in Asia, especially China and Thailand as well as Asian corporates seeking investment from international investors.
  • Prior to Strategy613, he has worked for Boston Consulting Group and Citibank in London and across Europe.
  • Holds a Masters in Management Science from Boston University and a BSc (Hons) in Economics from London School of Economics.

Stephen Wu, Partner

  • Joined FIDP in 2015.
  • Prior to joining FIDP, Stephen served as Head of Financial Services for the RMA Group in Thailand, focusing on emerging market leasing operations.
  • Stephen's deep experience in creating financial systems includes serving as Head of Overseas Business development and Financing at Beijing Xinheng Group in China, where Stephen grew business development and structured finance support for the group's mining projects.  He also served as Director of Vendor Financing at GE Capital in Shanghai, Finance Manager for Ingersoll-Rand Financial Services in Singapore/Shanghai, Senior Regional Finance Manager for Caterpillar in Singapore and Regional Finance Manager for Caterpillar in the US and China.
  • Stephen holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing and an MBA from the University of Illinois.

Nat Meechubot, Associate Director

  • Joined FIDP in 2008.
  • 3 yrs at Advance Finance Investment Bank (formerly Lehman Brothers Thailand) as an Associate and 1 yr at JP Morgan Chase in NY as an Analyst.
  • 3 years as a Retail entrepreneur in LA, California.
  • Holds an MBA from the USC’s Marshall School of Business and a BA from Tufts University. Speaks fluent Thai, French and intermediate Spanish.

Delphine Constantin Legal Counsel

  • More than 10 yrs experience advising on public and private sector financings, with exclusive focus on SE Asia since 2007, with expertise in large scale project financing, M&A, cross border investments and international arbitration.
  • Key appointments to date include: Asian Development Bank (ADB), BNP Paribas (Project Finance & Commodities), Vietnam Holdings and top tier international law firms - Dbeviose & Plimpton, White & Case LLP and Freehils in SE Asia and Australia.
  • Holds an MBA from Chicago Booth of Business, USA, LLB from McGill University, Canada and an LLB from the University of Paris (Sorbonne). Admitted as a Solicitor (England and Wales) and to the Paris Bar.
  • Fluent in English, German, French. Basic Khmer & Vietnamese.
